Our developer team is responsible for building software that empowers LeavePlus to deliver high-quality services to our members and operation of the portable long service leave scheme. This role develops robust, scalable, and secure solutions that power the digital experiences of our members. We are seeking someone with full stack capabilities, however, preference will be given to strength in front end (React) skills and who is familiar with the Azure ecosystem. Description As a mid-level Full Stack Developer contractor, you’ll be at the forefront of building robust, scalable, and secure software that elevates the digital experience for our members. We value comprehensive full-stack skills but are particularly looking for someone with expertise in front-end development using React. Collaborating closely with a cross-functional agile team, you’ll design, code, and refine complex solutions that are both maintainable and efficient. Work in a dynamic, supportive and hybrid workplace that will give you the chance to contribute to our large-scale business led transformation program. In this 6-month contract, you’ll implement best practices and leverage cutting-edge techniques like circuit breakers, microservices, and event-driven architecture to ensure high-quality, resilient applications. Your commitment to code excellence will be demonstrated through proactive reviews, troubleshooting, and refactoring, ensuring our software remains secure and optimised. Additionally, you’ll engage in product discussions to craft digital experiences that truly serve our members, championing secure development practices that align with OWASP, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS standards. Skills And Experiences Technical Expertise : Proficiency in React and TypeScript for web application development, and experience with backend languages like Java, Python, or Kotlin. API Knowledge : Solid understanding of RESTful or GraphQL APIs and microservices architecture. Development Practices : Experience with TDD/BDD, version control (Git), CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps), and cloud platforms like MS Azure and Terraform. Problem-Solving & Communication : Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD processes, and secure coding standards. Must have Azure DevOps experience Minimum 2 years in React Native experience.
