About the role Our Distribution Services team is responsible for maintaining and constructing SA Power Networks distribution assets – both overhead and underground on Low Voltage, 11KV and 33KV lines (poles, wires, Transformers, High Voltage switches etc.). This includes live low voltage maintenance and construction, high voltage switching and live line tree trimming, as well as project work such as conductor replacement, new line builds, new transformers etc. Due to the ongoing growth of our Distribution Services team, we have multiple permanent Powerline Worker positions available in South Australia. Day to day you will: Maintain and construct SA Power Networks distribution assets – both overhead and underground on Low Voltage, 11KV and 33KV lines (poles, wires, TF’s, HV switches etc.) Project work – Conductor replacement, new line builds, new TFs etc. Live low voltage maintenance and construction? High voltage switching The standard fortnight is 72hrs, with 1 rostered day off per fortnight. You will be required to work overtime from time to time (all overtime paid at double time) and perform availability duties. The majority of work is in the Adelaide area, but there will be requirements to work away from home occasionally (travel/living away from home allowance applies). This role will be based out of our St Marys depot. About you You will bring a strong commitment to working safely, and the ability to learn new skills and adapt to changes in standards, systems, and technologies. You are a team player who encourages others to collaborate and find solutions, rather than problems.
