Glenorchy City Council is seeking a Multi-Skilled Labourer – Tractor Mower Operator to join our dedicated Parks and Recreation team. In this hands-on role, you will help maintain the natural beauty, safety, and functionality of our parks, reserves, and open spaces for the enjoyment of the whole community. What we’re looking for: We’re seeking a reliable and motivated individual with experience in grounds and maintenance work, including mowing, brush cutting, weed control, and litter collection. You’ll be confident operating tractors, mowers, and related equipment, and willing to assist with turf care, landscaping, and other projects. A strong focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team. To be successful in this role, you’ll have practical experience in outdoor maintenance, with the ability to safely operate and maintain a range of plant and equipment. A strong understanding of workplace health and safety, the ability to follow procedures, and a high level of physical fitness are essential. You’ll also bring good communication skills, a team-focused attitude, and the flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and environments.
