About the team: Lead the Clearing Risk Business Analysis & Data stream required to meet the objectives for the Exchange Traded Derivatives project which is part of a multiyear transformation program. This is an exciting and highly visible role which will provide end-end business delivery capability for products, projects and initiatives supporting the Clearing Risk division. The “Clearing Risk Program” is a strategic multi-year initiative building out ASX’s proprietary risk capabilities. This role will lead the execution of the derivatives (ETD/OTC) streams within the program therefore SME IP is expected in this area. The successful candidate will join a small but highly experienced and motivated team working on several initiatives including migrating and enhancing existing risk models and implementing an in-house next generation risk management platform. This role will involve significant interaction with business users, quantitative analysts, data scientists, as well as broader technology SMEs. Therefore, it is important that the successful candidate must be technically proficient, organized, adaptable, and a highly organised & effective communicator. What you will be doing: Lead the Clearing Risk BA stream within the Exchange Traded Derivatives project which is part of an exchange wide Transformation Program. Own the documentation, process mapping, and understanding of key data flows. Provide SME design input for target state data models from a clearing risk business perspective. Perform gap analysis for current to target state, and stakeholder review. Drive cross-functional responsibilities related to documentation, prioritisation, leading workshops, stand-ups, retros and grooming of backlogs. Must be a self-starter and acutely outcomes focused. Collaborate with key stakeholders at all levels to identify and mitigate data related program risks, assumptions and issues. Formulate the scope and success criteria, write clear and concise requirements at the right level of detail. Identify the critical path and own the execution to meet objectives. Leverage financial risk, markets or derivatives IP to lead workshops related to initial margin, variation margin, pricing, market data, financial markets infrastructure reporting, position and trade feeds to document process flows and requirements. What you will bring: Must have Markets or financial risk IP, having worked on clearing or financial risk, data integration, or other related transformation projects. Experience working independently and leading data related BA streams on Tier 1 projects across the full SDLC from discovery to execution. (Must display knowledge of end-to-end delivery in Waterfall and Agile projects). 7yrs financial services or capital markets experience, particularly in clearing risk, settlement or registry functions. Must be adept with JIRA, Confluence, Viso and industry standard collaboration and documentation tools. Strong documentation skills with an ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders across all seniority levels. Excellent communicator, comfortable in ambiguous situations and context switching to drive the outcome. Nice to have: Tertiary qualifications in Finance and/or other STEM related area. Relevant BA or project management industry certifications. Leading a Scrum function in previous roles and experience with cloud related data products.
