About The Organisation: Unique General Practitioner Opportunity to Save a Community in Need. This is a call to arms to gain traction for the hiring of a permanent GP in Rochester in Northern Rural Victoria. This role is backed by a consortium of organisations to provide GP services to the broader community which is why it is a salaried position, rather than a percentage of billings. The Clinic is a vital satellite primary care service which was established in response to local private practice closures and recent flood events, the clinic plays a key role in delivering stable, high-quality general practice care to the Rochester community and surrounding areas. You’ll be working with a supportive, multidisciplinary team dedicated to restoring and sustaining rural primary care. About Your Role: Deliver comprehensive, patient-centred general practice services to the Rochester community. Provide telehealth outreach and occasional on-site visits to Stanhope (model in development). Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nursing, admin, and allied health professionals. Contribute to chronic disease management, aged care, and preventative health initiatives. Maintain accurate, timely records using Best Practice software. Optional participation in after-hours or urgent care support, as well as VMO/on-call duties. Participate in care coordination, service improvement, and professional development activities. Your Desired Skills & Experience: General Registration with AHPRA. Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM (or working towards Fellowship). Commitment to rural and regional healthcare delivery. Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Desirable: Rural general practice and urgent care experience. Interest in aged care and emergency medicine For future: Experience mentoring or supervising junior clinical staff.
