Category 5 Labour Management is seeking an experienced Fitting/Machining Supervisor for our client in Henderson, WA . The role is with a WA-owned company providing mechanical, preservation, and asset maintenance services to mining, oil & gas, naval defence, and marine sectors for over 40 years. Operating from a large, well-equipped workshop at the Australian Marine Complex, the team delivers high-quality fitting and surface treatment work focused on extending asset life, improving efficiency, and reducing costs. Location : Henderson WA 6166 Roster : Monday - Friday 6am start Employment Type : Labour hire 3-month contract with the view to permanent Pay Rate : $60–$70/hr flat (negotiable based on experience) Key Responsibilities Oversee fitting/machining workshop operations to meet project timelines, scope, and quality Lead and develop a team of tradespeople with a strong focus on morale and productivity Ensure all works comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards (ISO 9001, 14001, AS3834, 45001) Manage tooling, asset registers, parts availability, and subcontractor performance Drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost control, and efficiency Engage in regular safety meetings, audits, and risk reporting What You Bring Trade-qualified (essential) – mechanical/fitting background Experience in a similar leadership role Excellent people leadership and time management skills Strong understanding of safety systems and modern maintenance practices Ability to manage competing priorities and ensure work is fully scoped and resourced Familiarity with ISO, QA, and WHS systems Safety tickets highly regarded – W@H, Dogging, Rigging, LF, HRWL Why Join Us?
