To provide specialist technical and strategic advice relating to the environmental management of onshore petroleum activities and to support to the Petroleum Regulation unit in undertaking its key functions and responsibilities under the Petroleum (Environment) Regulations 2016 by leading the development of technical and policy guidelines relating to the onshore petroleum industry to enable administrative efficiencies whilst providing the community confidence that impacts are managed and regulated.
