Description About the role As a Technical Consultant within Payments & Cards you will play a pivotal role providing technical leadership and guidance in the selection, design, deployment, development, maintenance, support, and improvement of customer-centric Payments & Cards platforms. This role will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) across ACI solutions incl. Postillion card switch, CMM card management solution, payments incl. NPP, DE & Bpay, and PRM fraud application. This position holds the delegated responsibility and accountability for delivering exceptional banking services, products, and applications directly used by customers or employees. The Technical Consultant will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of Payments & Cards solutions, aligning them with business objectives, ensuring reliability, scalability, and an outstanding user experience. Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Provide expert technical leadership and guidance to the Payments & Cards teams and integration projects, ensuring the successful execution of projects and initiatives. Integration & Development: Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders to oversee the design of scalable, reliable, and secure Payments & Cards solutions. Change Management: Lead and oversee changes into production, ensuring that development, design, testing, and certification adhere to strict ITIL standards and maintain strong Secure Stable & Resilient (SSR) standards, minimising impacts to customers and staff. Technical Mentoring: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their technical growth and promoting knowledge sharing within the team. Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, technical standards and guidelines, support documentation and system documentation, to ensure clarity and maintainability. Monitoring & Performance Optimisation: Identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement within Payments & Cards platforms, collaborating with the team to implement optimisation strategies. About you You have strong expertise in successful delivery and support of customer-centric platforms that are usable, stable, secure, compliant, and aligned to business objectives. You will achieve this by providing strong technical leadership and mentorship to the team, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. Knowledge and Experience Essential Technical Acumen: Extensive financial services experience within Payments & Cards Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on one or more ACI Products incl. Postillion, CMM, UPF, and PRM Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Cards & Token management, switch management (AS2805/8583 protocols), ATM’s, Visa, Eftpos & IPEX Experience with fraud management platforms Experience with Payments – NPP (ISO20020), PayTo, Direct Entry & BPAY. Experience with solution design, software development and integration projects Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Jira. Prior experience designing, delivering and/or maintaining complex technical solutions and the ability and experience of identifying and resolving complex technical issues. Strong communication skills Desirable: Familiarity with current and/or future-state (preferred) systems is beneficial. Incl. Fiserv, Mulesoft, and Salesforce Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platform services Strong networking knowledge and coding skills SQL management studio and building queries Delivery Methodology: Familiarity with multiple delivery methodologies and the ability to adapt to the selected project methodology.
