Internal Communication Officer Location: Brisbane, CBD Work type: Contract until Feb 2026 Salary: $66 per hour, plus super About the Role A meaningful opportunity exists within a government organisation for a creative and motivated Communication Officer to support internal communications. This role plays a key part in fostering connection, engagement, and positivity through clear, inclusive messaging and visual content. You’ll help shape how teams stay informed and inspired, using your communication and design skills to create impactful content that supports organisational goals and strengthens team culture. Key Responsibilities • Deliver internal communication activities aligned with team goals and engagement priorities • Design engaging visuals using Canva for newsletters, leadership updates, and staff campaigns • Use Vision6 to manage email newsletters, track engagement, and optimise formats • Develop communication materials including bulletins, updates, and presentations • Collaborate with broader communications teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding • Build relationships across teams to gather insights and promote visibility of initiatives • Monitor engagement metrics and use data to refine tone, design, and reach • Support leadership with staff updates, briefing notes, and strategic communication planning About You You’re a creative communicator with a passion for connecting people and ideas.
