As a Field Service Technician, you'll be responsible for the installation, activation, and maintenance of fibre-optic broadband services directly to customer premises. Install and commission NBN FTTP equipment including fiber lead-ins, NTDs, and power supply units. Perform fibre splicing, termination, and testing. Conduct site assessments and pre-installation checks to ensure fibre readiness. Troubleshoot and resolve fibre faults and connectivity issues. Rod & Rope NBN / Telstra Ducts Pit and pipe installation Reading and understanding cable plans and designs Attend customer complaints and complete the work required to the clients expectations Maintain compliance with nbn Co standards and safety protocols. Provide clear communication and accurately document work using digital job management systems. REQUIREMENTS Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Experience with fibre-optic installation, splicing, and testing. Familiarity with NBN FTTP architecture and equipment. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. ACMA Registered Cabling License White Card (Construction Induction) Working at Heights and Confined Spaces certifications. Asbestos Awareness Certification Experience with other NBN technologies (e.g. FTTN, FTTB, FTTC) is a plus. Power Awareness certification & licence (preferable) First Aid Training with CPR Criminal history check Current driver's license.
