The Role: As General Manager, Regions, you will lead a team that provides connection between government, regional communities, businesses and stakeholders to support the implementation of government regional policy priorities and promote regional economic development, industry growth, jobs growth and service delivery. You will oversee regional engagement, delivery of funding programs, policy development, and project delivery, supporting the wellbeing of regional communities and driving economic growth. Key Responsibilities: Develop effective relationships with Commonwealth, State and local government agencies, industry stakeholders, and regional communities. Lead strategic planning, development, and evaluation of regional policies, programs, and projects. Build and manage a high-performing team across the state to deliver support the implementation of regional policy priorities. Provide expert advice, high-level briefings, and reports to PIRSA Executives, the Chief Executive, and the Minister. Represent PIRSA on national and state committees, forums, and working groups. About You: Extensive experience engaging with Commonwealth, State and local government agencies, industry stakeholders, and regional communities. Extensive knowledge of regional priorities and service delivery, economic development, and public sector practices. Proven ability to manage major programs, budgets, and resources effectively. Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to navigate sensitive political environments. A degree in agriculture, business, economics, or related fields (highly desirable).
