With a strong commitment to safety, technical excellence, and innovation, we are expanding our engineering team and seeking a Structures Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our bases on the Sunshine Coast. The Role: As a Structures AME, you will be responsible for performing structural repairs, modifications, and maintenance on our diverse rotary-wing fleet including Bell 214B, Bell 214ST, AS355, B206 and B47 helicopters. This role offers exposure to a wide range of challenging work, both scheduled and unscheduled, in a supportive and dynamic team environment. Key Responsibilities: Carry out structural inspections, repairs, and component fabrication in accordance with CASA regulations and company procedures Interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals Use metal forming, riveting, bonding, and composite repair techniques Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of maintenance activities Work collaboratively with the broader maintenance team to support operational readiness Requirements: Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) or equivalent trade qualifications Demonstrated experience in structural maintenance and repair, preferably on rotary-wing aircraft Understanding of CASA regulatory requirements and industry standards Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be eligible to live and work in Australia Desirable: Previous experience with Bell series helicopters Experience in composite and bonded structures Familiarity with CASA/ FAA Part 145 maintenance environments What We Offer: Full-time permanent role at our Cooroy facility Competitive salary based on experience Opportunity to work on unique and varied aircraft Supportive workplace culture focused on safety, quality, and development Potential for career progression within a growing organisation How to Apply: To express your interest, please send your CV and a cover letter outlining your experience to: recruitment@mcdermottaviation.com
