This role requires a cook who is passionate about contributing to the wellbeing of elderly residents and community members in a remote location, ensuring dietary needs, preferences, and cultural practices are respected and prioritised. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations, under the leadership of the TDC Head Chef. About You Experience working within an Aged Care kitchen. Strong organisational and time management skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team. High level of attention to detail, particularly in food presentation and cleanliness. Ability to follow set menus that meet the nutritional guidelines for Aged Care and dietary requirements of all residents and community clients. Strong awareness of food safety and hygiene practices. Intermediate cooking skills, with a commitment to quality. Positive and approachable attitude, with good interpersonal skills. Essential Licences / Clearances Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) with demonstrated experience in bulk cooking, preferably within aged care, healthcare or remote community settings. Food Safety Certificate or ability to attain. Experience in a similar role is required.
