We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team in a diverse and hands-on position. This role offers a unique blend of office-based responsibilities and regular on-site engagement with our farm operations within day-travel distance of Perth. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining integrity across financial systems, and delivering meaningful insights to drive decision-making across the business. Key Performance Outputs Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain general ledger accuracy through journal entry review and approvals Reconcile balance sheet accounts and stock movements across sites Ensure inventory and budgetary adjustments are reflected appropriately Review and correct GL allocations; assess provision and accrual needs Maintain and update the fixed asset register; run monthly depreciation Conduct on-site verification of stock counts with farm-based teams Draft dashboard reporting and assist with cash flow analysis for Treasury Support BAS, ATO returns, and assist with external audits Investigate outstanding purchase orders and system discrepancies Cross-check and release creditors’ payments Manage and evaluate foreign currency transactions and balance Requirements Minimum Education/Qualification/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting , Finance, or a related field (mandatory) CA or CPA qualified, or currently enrolled and progressing toward certification (preferred) Minimum 3 years’ experience in a financial accounting or similar role Valid Australian driver’s license Willingness to travel to farm sites within WA (day travel) This is a split role, typically spending part of the week in the Perth office and part on-site at farms within day-travel distance Functional / Technical Proven experience in: Preparing financial statements Managing general ledger and reconciliations Working with fixed assets and inventory systems Supporting audits and tax compliance Exposure to agribusiness or multi-site operational environments ( advantageous ) Systems Proficiency: Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups) Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred) Proficiency in using Netsuite or similar ERP systems. Computer literacy: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience in sales coordination, market intelligence, or related roles. Excellent Email etiquette
