With a bright future ahead, we are seeking team members for our exciting Balranald operation, where we are deploying a new mining technology. Using remotely operated, novel underground mining (UGM) technology to extract key critical minerals. The technology we have developed enables access to ore bodies previously thought to be uneconomic - in future, we hope it brings potential to unlock other deep deposits of critical minerals, including those nearby to the Balranald project. About the location Iluka’s Balranald operation is located approximately 30kms outside of Balranald township in regional NSW. You can choose to reside locally, drive-in drive-out from towns within the regional area or fly-in, fly-out from Melbourne. We are also providing a shuttle bus between Adelaide and Balranald as an option. About the role Working closely with operational teams, the Maintenance Planner will produce and lead the work management process for the operations and maintenance teams to implement and sustain best practice asset management maintenance planning and scheduling. The successful candidate will have the chance to shape the maintenance strategy, influence best practices, and drive continuous improvement from the ground up. Your accountabilities will include: Maximise plant utilisation and ensure it is operated to the full potential by conducting regular inspections with shift personnel Ensuring effective maintenance of plant and equipment by utilising the CMMS system and communication protocols to identify outstanding tasks Assist maintenance and operations teams with breakdown maintenance in a prompt and timely manner so as to minimise operational downtime Prioritise maintenance tasks in conjunction with Superintendents, Plant Coordinators, Maintenance Planners and Reliability engineers Organise and run weekly planning meetings with key stakeholders, create and schedule weekly maintenance and outage plans Own the master data and work with the asset management team to improve any shortfalls Work closely with the operations department to ensure high quality planning and delivery for site and maintenance shut works Work with engineering team to maintain and oversee the ongoing management of classified plant Work professionally with suppliers, procurement and stores around spare parts and their management to fulfill maintenance plans About you Mechanical trade qualification highly regarded Alternatively, a tertiary qualification in engineering with experience in a planning or scheduling role considered Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of mining and mineral processing plants, fixed and mobile Exposure to mechanical and electrical systems Demonstrated experience with computer based CMMS system such as SAP maintenance planning systems Our offer to you Family friendly 8:6 roster New camp facilities Be supported through an inclusive and collaborative culture Up to 18 Weeks Paid Parental Leave Ability to Purchase Additional Annual Leave Competitive Salary and Bonus Structures Company share matching scheme We are committed to upholding our Business Values, supporting equal opportunities, gender equality and cultural diversity.
