Client Manager/Senior Accounting for Public Accounting Firm About the role We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join us as a full-time Client Manager and Senior Accountant . In this role, you will play an essential role in ensuring an exceptional client experience and in providing high-quality advice. The role offers a great balance of client relationship management and technical accounting work. You will have the opportunity to manage your own client portfolio, all while being supported with our team-based approach. What you’ll be doing: You will report directly to the Senior Client Manager and will be responsible for: Being the face of our firm for client communication matters within your portfolio and supporting the Senior Client Manager as needed Using your strong tax knowledge to review client affairs and provide strategic tax planning advice, considering cash flow obligations Providing advice on structures and planning opportunities, including recommendations for establishing new entities Liaising with ASIC, ATO, other government agencies, and external stakeholders regarding client matters Reviewing the work of our production team for your assigned clients Undertaking relevant production work to meet lodgement objectives Handling 'fix-up' jobs for clients, including advice on compliance issues, risk mitigation, and managing lodgement obligations and debts Conducting client meetings and conversations to gather information for individual client group returns Holding Annual General Meetings (AGMs) with clients in your portfolio, either in person or via online channels What we’re looking for: A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a public accounting firm Experience preparing tax returns, financial statements, fringe benefits tax returns, and tax planning reports High-level technical knowledge of income tax, GST, and compliance obligations, with the ability to apply it effectively Relevant degree in Accounting, Business, or Commerce CA or CPA credentials are highly regarded Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence High computer literacy across accounting systems including Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, XPM, Office365, Karbon, Now Infinity, and the Tax Portal A commitment to exceptional customer service and a genuine interest in the accounting industry Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs An approachable work style and willingness to take on challenges to support team goals Highly coachable with a focus on achieving the best outcomes for clients Why Work at Bee Group Accountants?
