Full Time Temporary Contract $120,451 to $129,343 per annum Total effective package $148,139 - $158,234 Female identified position Grow your career using diverse and challenging skills About the role Live in a remote community close to Alice Springs and Palm Valley, working with women and children and supported by the local Ntaria health team and the Australian Nurse Family Partnership Program (ANFPP) in Alice Springs. The ANFPP is a voluntary home visiting program for women pregnant with an Aboriginal Child. Visits begin in early pregnancy and continue until the child is 2 years old. Nurses and/or Midwives and Aboriginal Community Workers work in partnership with women and their families delivering an intensive evidence-based home visiting program. The Nurse Home Visitor (NHV) develops long term relationships with women and families living in the Western Arrernte Health Service region including Ntaria, Wallace Rockhole, Utju and surrounding outstations that build client skills, confidence and hope. Based on five client-centred principles, the program values clients’ ability to determine their own future. The position has a high level of autonomy, flexibility and personal satisfaction. Preparedness to undertake and complete all ANFPP training and other workplace training as required with a willingness to travel interstate for training; Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively to manage a case load of clients and undertake home visits in accordance with ANFPP requirements and commitment to provide continuity care for the 2.5 year span of program delivery to individual clients. Understanding of the social determinants of health and other disparities experienced by Aboriginal people. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both Aboriginal clients and a willingness to be supported by Aboriginal staff for cultural guidance. Current NT Driver License and the ability to travel and work from remote locations.
