About the Role As an Energy Analyst, you will support clients and internal teams with robust, data-driven insights that shape decision-making across wholesale electricity markets and power system operations. Key Responsibilities Perform electricity market analysis and simulations to support client projects and software modelling Contribute to forecasting, scenario planning, and portfolio valuation across energy technologies Use modelling platforms and custom tools to support resource planning and energy procurement strategy Interpret market data, regulatory trends, and system dynamics to provide strategic insights Work with internal teams to build models, prepare presentations, and deliver results to stakeholders Support the continuous improvement of data pipelines, forecasting tools, and modelling capability Engage in problem-solving that balances technical detail with commercial and policy relevance Business Coverage Wholesale electricity market analysis (NEM and international markets) Energy storage, renewables, and conventional generation portfolio modelling Scenario-based resource planning and market simulations Software-driven analytics and cloud-based modelling tools Decarbonisation, risk management, and procurement strategy Candidate Profile You are a numerate, curious, and analytically minded energy professional with a keen interest in market modelling and decarbonisation strategy. You may come from an energy consultancy, market operator, utility, or software-driven environment.
