Introduction About the role Amplitude Energy (AEL) is seeking to appoint a Project Mechanical and Piping Engineer to support key upgrades and maintenance projects across our Victorian assets. You will oversee all stages of the project lifecycle, including engineering assessments, scope development, shutdown support, and asset integrity planning for both fixed equipment (such as piping, pressure vessels, and exchangers) and rotating machinery. This is a 2 year fixed term contract. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage mechanical scopes for projects across fixed and rotating equipment Drive compliance with regulatory standards (API, ASME, AS, etc.) and AEL internal systems Perform failure investigations and develop strategies to prevent recurrence Support inspections, shutdowns, repairs and upgrades through technical planning and execution Develop technical specifications, manage contractor deliverables, and contribute to procurement decisions Support Management of Change (MoC) processes and project risk assessments Ensure project delivery aligns with safety, quality and performance expectations. About You Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with project experience in the oil and gas or similar industry 7 plus years’ experience in oil & gas, energy or heavy industry RPEV registered (Mechanical) Strong knowledge of pressure equipment, piping systems, and rotating machinery Familiar with API, ASME, and Australian standards Experienced across design, execution, and QA/QC inspection Strong communicator with demonstrated ability to liaise across operations, maintenance and external stakeholders Ability and willingness to travel to site regularly About us Amplitude Energy is proud to source, develop and produce domestic natural gas that will bridge the gap between renewable energy supply and consumer demand for Australia's energy future.
