DESCRIPTION We are looking for a talented Field Service Mechanic to join our high performing field service team. The Gunnedah Basin mining region is home to over 170 Cummins High Horsepower engines , powering a range of mining equipment. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: - First responder to breakdown events - Fleet maintenance - Capturing engine data - Fault diagnostics - Diverse range engine repairs, both major and minor - Working autonomously as well as having the ability to work in a great team environment - Work with other major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) - The face of Cummins at the customer site RESPONSIBILITIES Qualifications and Competencies To be successful in this role you will need the following: - Mechanical trades qualified as Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Light vehicle mechanic or plant mechanic. Light vehicle with heavy vehicle experience will also be considered - Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM) - Previous repairs and maintenance experience with Marine, Power Generation, On Highway Truck, Mining, Construction or Agriculture applications is desirable but not essential.
