Powerlift Industries (PLI) is a leading service provider in the Mining and Resource industries, proudly based in Karratha, Pilbara. We are seeking experienced Structural Steel Riggers to assist with constructing the new RTIO Parker Point Desalination Plant. ABOUT THE PROJECT: The Rio Tinto seawater desalination plant at its Parker Point operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The Dampier Seawater Desalination Plant, will provide 4 gigalitres (GL) of water annually, with plans to potentially double that capacity in the future. The project aims to ensure a reliable water supply for Rio Tinto's coastal operations and surrounding communities. ABOUT THE ROLE: Commencing early August 2025 3/1 Roster 10.5 hour shifts, Thursdays' ARE 7 hour shifts Flights provided from Perth $73.00 per hour Supporting onsite construction team REQUIREMENTS: To be considered, you will need to satisfy the following criteria; Minimum of 3 years experience in the mining and resource industry (mandatory) Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in structural steel rigging (mandatory) Ability to pass VOC's Proof of Right to work in Australia (mandatory) Current and Valid Australian Drivers Licence (mandatory) RI or RA High Risk Work Licence (mandatory) Rio Tinto inducted (highly desirable) Sound steel erecting capability Working at Heights (mandatory) EWP and LF tickets (highly desirable) White Card (mandatory) Strong commitment to safety A positive and flexible attitude to working within a team, including assisting in other duties when required Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol test If you would like to be part of this project, and feel you have the relevant and required skills, we encourage you to apply now!
