The GP clinic also works alongside their other Wunan Health services being headspace Kununurra and KWIC - Kununurra Withdrawal Intervention Centre. THE POSITION We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to fill the role of Clinical Coordinator or Practice Nurse (RN) or Aboriginal Health Practitioner, ensuring the ongoing provision of the highest standards of care to our patients through the provision of clinical services and health education. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES Successful applicant must have a current unconditional registration with AHPRA and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, with General Practice or AMS experience being highly desired. If you meet the below criteria, we welcome your application: Motivation to provide service excellence Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team Demonstrated capacity to work in a collaborative manner with staff Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated ability to problem solve issues on a day-to-day basis Completion of Understanding Vaccines and the National Immunisation Program (mandatory) Can supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; incl Aboriginal Health Workers (AHW) and students to deliver patient care Chronic Disease management experience and understanding of GPCCMPs Wound management Venepuncture, Cannulation and Iron infusions Assisting doctors with minor surgical procedures e.g. dressing, excisions Diagnostic procedures e.g. Blood pressure monitoring, ECG, Spirometry Stock management and cold chain management Collecting specimens for drugs of abuse Understanding of Indigenous Health Provide evidenced based nursing care Commitment to ongoing participation in education and professional development SELECTION CRITERIA Your application must include answers to the following questions: Are you currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)?
