Job Description We are seeking an Electrical Superintendent - High Voltage to support operations in Champaign, Illinois. The successful candidate may be asked to work on projects in other US locations as needed. What You'll Do: Oversee activities associated with High Voltage for utility-scale projects. Review and provide value engineering for electrical design. Maintain advanced knowledge of Electrical and General Construction codes; serve as the electrical construction SME. Collaborate with PV Project Manager on schedules and budgets. Work with site management to ensure compliance with codes and contract drawings for self-performance and subcontractor HV work. Ensure NEC, NEDA, and UBC code compliance on Medium Voltage work. Identify conflicts in contract documents and collaborate with Project Managers to resolve them. Lead and motivate field teams to meet project and company goals. Assign work sequences to minimize safety risks and stay on budget and schedule. Manage all aspects of work execution: labor, materials, delays, mobilization. Participate in pre-construction reviews to determine resources, schedule, and costs. Ensure adherence to installation schematics, design, and manufacturer recommendations. Provide daily status updates on projects. Coordinate with inspectors, discuss codes, and ensure project close-out. Prepare detailed reports: Daily, Weekly, JSA, and others. Other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring: 6 years of electrical experience in utility-scale solar and renewable energy, including medium voltage. Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering. Valid Driver's License with a good record. Knowledge of NEC, UBC, local & utility requirements, OSHA regulations; Journeyman Electrician or NABCEP certification. OSHA 30 certification. Ability to prioritize work and review quality. Motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, team player and independent worker. Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Physical Demands: Must be able to work in environments requiring mobility, including standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, and stooping. Regularly lift/move over 50 pounds. Working Conditions: Exposure to high places, ladders, roofs, weather, confined spaces. Occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, electrical shock risks. Moderate noise level.
