Rainbow Region Kids , a program of Northern Rivers Community Gateway, is currently hiring Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Educators for our vibrant Before and After School Care and Vacation Care services across the Northern Rivers. We’re offering both casual and permanent part-time positions , with a minimum guaranteed 15 hours per week for part-time staff. About the Role As an Educator, you will: Support the planning and delivery of engaging, child-centred programs aligned with the My Time, Our Place Framework Foster respectful, supportive relationships with children Ensure a safe, inclusive, and fun environment in line with the National Quality Framework Assist with routines, care, supervision, and learning opportunities across structured and free play activities Collaborate with a passionate and professional team to provide high-quality care across multiple school sites What We Offer A guaranteed minimum 15 hours per week for part-time roles 25% loading for casual employees Bonus leave in December Flexible weekday morning and afternoon shifts and school holiday work Supportive, child-safe and person-centred workplace Attractive salary packaging options Regular supervision and professional development Opportunities for long-term career growth within a values-driven not-for-profit organisation Selection Criteria Essential Certificate III in Children’s Services or at least 12 months experience in a similar role Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team Understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and My Time Our Place learning framework Ability to develop meaningful and respectful relationships with children Awareness of child development and the role of structured and unstructured activities Commitment to child safety, wellbeing and inclusive practices Desirable Experience using digital childcare platforms (e.g. OWNA) Requirements NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) First Aid in Education and Care Setting (or willingness to complete) Completion of, or willingness to complete, a recognised Child Protection course Apply Now!
