Solution Architect (Enterprise Systems & ERP Strategy) A short-term contract opportunity is available for a skilled Solution Architect to lead a strategic review of enterprise systems and architecture, with a focus on aligning future-state requirements and identifying the right-sized ERP/MRP solution for a growing business. About The Engagement This engagement will involve a hands-on assessment of current enterprise architecture and technology platforms, with a focus on identifying system gaps, process inefficiencies, and strategic opportunities to improve alignment across business functions. The successful candidate will evaluate the existing ERP landscape (e.g. SAP or similar), assess supporting platforms (CRM, MES, CMMS, TMS), and recommend a fit-for-purpose technology direction that balances short-term priorities with long-term strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Review current architecture and map future-state business and technical requirements. Identify ERP/MRP system fit, integration points, and opportunities for right-sizing. Analyse system inefficiencies and prioritise improvements based on business value. Define functional, integration, and non-functional requirements (e.g. security, usability, compliance). Assess where alternative applications may better serve specific business needs. Align technology, processes, and people to support strategic outcomes. Deliverables High-level enterprise architecture framework with strategic development options. Provide ERP-related recommendations, including potential quick wins. A long-term roadmap for enterprise systems, including ERP and adjacent technologies. Governance and resourcing recommendations to enable effective delivery. Overview of potential ERP vendor options (system-agnostic, not vendor-specific). Engagement Notes This role may involve periodic onsite collaboration with stakeholders, so the ability to travel as needed is expected. Ideal for a Solution Architect with strong business analysis skills and experience bridging enterprise strategy with practical system design.
