WYNCO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Workshop or Production Manager to lead operations at a busy metal fabrication facility in Western Sydney. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for managing production, supervising a skilled workforce, and maintaining safety and quality standards across all workshop activities. The facility specialises in custom sheet metal fabrication and operates with modern equipment including CNC folding, laser cutting, welding, and powder coating. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations in a fast-paced sheet metal workshop Supervise and coordinate welders, fabricators, and production staff Ensure production schedules are met on time and to specification Uphold and promote WHS, environmental, and quality compliance Monitor output and drive process improvement through lean practices Manage stock control, equipment maintenance, and consumables Liaise with engineering, procurement, and project teams Conduct toolbox talks, training sessions, and staff performance reviews Ensure workshop safety, productivity, and team accountability Skills and Experience Proven experience in a Workshop or Production Manager role Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and welding (MIG/TIG) Ability to lead and develop workshop teams Competence in reading technical drawings and job specifications Well-organised with strong time management and communication skills Sound knowledge of WHS compliance and QA procedures Desirable Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen Familiarity with ERP or workshop scheduling systems Background in training apprentices or mentoring tradespeople Benefits Permanent, full-time position with long-term opportunity Competitive salary based on experience Strong team culture in a growing business Access to advanced workshop tools and systems Career growth potential within a stable and respected company Please apply.
