About the Role As Corporate Lawyer, you will work closely with senior legal counsel, executives, and external advisors to deliver transactional legal advice across M&A, corporate restructures, capital initiatives, and joint ventures. The role involves drafting and negotiating key transaction documents, coordinating legal due diligence, and advising on corporate governance and regulatory matters relevant to ASX-listed entities. This is a 12-month contract role ideal for a corporate or M&A lawyer with strong private practice or in-house experience who is looking to broaden their commercial exposure in a listed business setting. Key Responsibilities Advise on mergers, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, and strategic investments Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents including share sale, shareholder, and subscription agreements Lead or support legal due diligence and deal execution alongside external counsel Provide legal input on corporate structuring, capital management and group entity governance Assist with regulatory filings, listing rule obligations, and stakeholder approvals Work cross-functionally with commercial, finance, strategy, and external parties Legal Focus M&A and corporate transactions (buy and sell side) ASX governance, Corporations Act, and listing rules compliance Joint venture, shareholder, and investment agreements Internal restructures, corporate advisory, and regulatory engagement Cross-border deal exposure and multi-stakeholder transactions Candidate Profile 5–8 years’ post-qualification experience in corporate, M&A or general commercial law Strong drafting, negotiation and transactional advisory skills Familiarity with public and private M&A frameworks and due diligence processes Experience working in or advising large corporates, listed entities, or complex group structures Able to manage multiple priorities across a fast-paced deal pipeline Pragmatic, commercially minded and confident working with senior stakeholders Admitted to practise law in Australia What’s on Offer Join one of Australia’s most highly regarded in-house legal teams Gain exposure to large-scale, strategic transactions in a listed environment 12-month contract with potential for extension or longer-term opportunity Work closely with executives and top-tier external counsel Flexible hybrid working and competitive remuneration package How to Apply M&A Experience: Highlight your transactional and advisory experience, including deal examples Corporate Insight: Note any exposure to listed environments, JV structuring, or governance To apply, send your CV and a brief cover letter.
