Peoplebank are recruiting for a Solution Architect (Applications / Software focus) to work on a long-term contract, based in the Adelaide CBD. Whilst the company operates a hybrid work setup, this is NOT a fully remote role and you must be based in Adelaide, South Australia with full work rights . The Solution Architect is a Senior technical role responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions that support the Future State architecture for our clients largest and most important program of work. Responsibilities include Leads the detailed technical design, estimating and technical development of enhancement to systems. Develops solution architectures from business and functional requirements, in collaboration with BAs and SMEs. Contributes technical expertise to requirements analysis to enhance the quality of the solution design. Contributes to the Future State architecture and provide advice on suitable technical solutions. Assesses current systems architecture and works with technical staff to recommend suitable solutions to enable the Future State. Identifies, communicate, and manage technical risks, including performance, integration, and data integrity concerns. Keeps stakeholders informed of any technical risks or limitations associated with proposed solutions. Ensures all solutions address security, privacy, testing, and compliance requirements in accordance with relevant architecture, strategies, policies, standards and practices. Develops and communicate an actionable and realistic implementation roadmap for approved solutions. Provides guidance and risk-based governance to support solution implementation including managing requests for changes and deviations from specifications. Skills and Experience required 5 years of proven experience in engineering and software architecture design. In-depth understanding of coding languages (specifically Java and JavaScript would be ideal!). Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases. Exceptional communication skills including written and verbal communications, as well as visualisations. Previous project management experience is advantageous.
