Responsible for achieving high quality results in the conversion of printed and cut finished cartons. This role will lead the day-to-day delivery of production on their line and support the successful conversion of materials into high quality finished packaging solutions for our internal and external customers. Accountabilities: - Set up the machine to the standard required in preparation for the conversion or embellishment (make ready) - Assess product for meeting quality standards, undertake quality checks - Operate a gluing machine to meet quality and productivity requirements - Monitor machine operation to ensure continuous running - Conduct routine maintenance in accordance with the Daily Equipment Care checklist - Review workload to ensure all preparation work is managed in a timely manner to ensure continuous running of the machine - Assist in cross training other staff where applicable - Coordinate and liaise with offsider to ensure jobs are prepped Skills: - Mechanical aptitude - Attention to detail - Problem solving - Ability to read technical drawings (Knife/Glue Line) - Ability to operate gluing machine - Ability to communicate effectively Knowledge: - Knowledge of cutting and creasing - Understanding gluing machinery - Offsider experience and knowledge - Understand machine function and operation - Understand machine and job tooling - Understand \u2018pre make ready\u2019 process Experience: - Offsider experience 12 - 18 months - Pre make ready experience 6 - 12 months Smurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions.
