About the role Sydney Airport is seeking a strategically-minded and tourism-savvy marketing leader to join our Aviation Partnerships team in this newly created role as Aviation Marketing Manager - Inbound. This unique role sits at the intersection of aviation and destination marketing, with a clear mandate to drive inbound passenger growth from strategically important global markets. Unlike traditional airport marketing roles, this position is modelled more closely on a tourist board function - working hand-in-glove with Tourism Australia and Destination NSW, while also leading independent, Sydney Airport–driven initiatives to stimulate inbound demand in under-served and high-potential markets. The successful candidate will bring deep experience in international tourism promotion, strong trade and media networks, and a data-led mindset to shape and execute impactful global campaigns that position Sydney as a must-visit destination and Sydney Airport as Australia’s iconic global gateway. Reporting to the head of Aviation Marketing and as part of SYD’s Strategic Aviation Growth team, this role works closely with Sydney Airport’s aviation development team in charge of aviation development through attracting new international airlines to SYD, establishing services to new international destinations and growing capacity on existing routes. About you We’re seeking a senior marketing professional with minimum 5 years’ experience in tourism or aviation, focused on strategic partnerships and international market development. You should have a strong grasp of the global travel trade ecosystem, proven success in leading international campaigns, and experience driving passenger demand through data-led and creative strategies. A solid understanding of tourism distribution channels and inbound consumer behavior is essential. Foreign language skills and cross-cultural stakeholder management are highly valued. Thriving in high-pressure environments, you remain composed under tight deadlines and critical negotiations. Your collaborative leadership style inspires teams and drives outcomes, while your existing international networks in international tourism trade and proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Suite ensures technical excellence.
