We are seeking a Permanent, Part-time Library Assistant to work collaboratively, Monday to Friday, with other school staff to provide support and assistance to teachers, students and school leadership in the successful delivery of school learning and pastoral outcomes. The Library Assistant is accountable for: Supervising students in non-teaching periods (including on excursions) Supervising groups of students other than in a classroom situation, including taking responsibility for the library if no teacher librarian is present or playground supervision if an agreement has been reached Working in collaboration with a Teacher or group of Teachers in the implementation of learning and teaching strategies for an individual student, groups of students or class Receiving, issuing, distributing, stock-taking and safeguarding of teaching resources, goods, supplies, stores, materials and equipment Providing technical assistance in the operation of the College Library Experience and Qualifications Minimum 2 years’ Library Assistant experience (preferably in a secondary educational institution) Tertiary qualification in the relevant area of study Appropriate demonstrated experience Current Working with Children Check (for employment purposes) PLEASE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS IN YOUR APPLICATION: A Cover Letter addressed to the Principal introducing yourself and addressing the position criteria Your Resume outlining education and experience.
