Your Employer Our client is a leading horticultural business with national operations across Australia. They are currently seeking experienced Facility Supervisors to join their high-performing teams at farms in Orielton, Tasmania and Wamuran, Queensland . These roles are critical in ensuring quality handling, packing, and dispatch of premium fresh produce from farm to customer. Your Role As a Facility Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily pack shed operations, ensuring product is graded, packed, and dispatched in accordance with customer specifications, food safety requirements, and internal quality standards. You will manage a diverse team, coordinate with farm departments, and ensure traceability and compliance across all stages of the packing process. Key Responsibilities Oversee grading and packing operations, ensuring accurate classification and presentation of produce. Monitor the quality of fresh produce throughout all stages, including washing, multiple grading phases, and dispatch preparation. Allocate and supervise labour resources to match operational needs and production volumes. Liaise with Harvest, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams to coordinate shed operations and resolve quality or equipment issues. Ensure correct handling of produce to maintain cool chain integrity and product shelf life. Maintain accurate quality assurance records for traceability and audit readiness. Manage training and performance of packing team members, ensuring adherence to operational standards. Monitor and ensure proper waste handling in accordance with company procedures. Supervise dispatch activities and ensure accurate and timely delivery according to order requirements. Lead a strong safety culture by following WHS protocols and promoting team accountability. Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar supervisory role within a packing, production, or food handling environment. Proven experience leading and managing teams in fast-paced agricultural or food-processing settings. Knowledge of cool chain, grading, and packing processes. Experience maintaining QA compliance and accurate documentation. Strong coordination and communication skills to work across departments. Certificate III or IV in a relevant field is preferred. Forklift licence and food safety knowledge are advantageous. Annual salary will be $67,000 - $73,000 plus superannuation.
