On behalf of Austral SF Australia, a company specialising in structural steel, welding works and metal fabrication based in the Kingsgrove, NSW 2208 area, we are conducting a search for an experienced and skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator. Current Opening: This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week). Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Utilise a range of hand and power tools to cut, shape and assemble metal components according to engineering drawings and blueprints. Perform welding tasks using techniques such as MIG, TIG and stick welding to join metal parts securely and accurately. Fabricate metal structures and products with a focus on precision and quality, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety regulations. Operate machinery such as saws, shears and bending equipment to cut and form metal sheets and plates. Conduct quality inspections to verify that fabricated metal products meet specifications and quality standards. Collaborate with engineers, designers and other team members to discuss project requirements and resolve any fabrication issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regular maintenance of fabrication equipment and tools. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Skills and Qualification: Completion of a vocational training program in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred. Relevant qualification with at least two years of experience as a Metal Fabricator. Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools for metal fabrication, including welding equipment. Strong welding skills with experience in MIG, TIG, and stick welding. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to fabricate metal products accurately. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in metal fabrication. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $80,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
