What you Will Need: While training will be provided, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate: A proven safety focus in the workplace. Minimum “C” class driver licence. Sound literacy and numeracy skills. A proven mechanical aptitude. Sound interpersonal skills. Availability for shift work if required. Other Preferred Requirements: Although not essential, preference will be shown to applicants also able to offer any of the following: A current Forklift Licence. Previous food industry experience. Experience operating production machines. Operating experience with Linde Sound computer skills. Work Safely at Heights certification. Confined Spaces certification. The Duties: The duties that the successful applicant will be required to perform include: Compliance with all workplace health and safety obligations Set-up and monitor automatic bagging machines. Monitor product and packaging quality standards. Operate Linde Forklifts. Maintain work area hygiene. Accurately report packaged product counts. Complete all required documentation. Report maintenance requirements of plant and equipment as needed. Pre Employment Assessment: To confirm suitability for the role, the selected applicant may be required to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, which will also include drug and alcohol testing, prior to formally being offered the position. Pay Rates: Applicants will be appointed for a 38-hour week on a full-time basis in accordance with the approved Collective Agreement.
