Role Overview: We are seeking a technically proficient Solution Engineer with a strong background in battery energy storage systems (BESS). This role is pivotal in developing smart, customised solutions for commercial and industrial clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BESS suppliers and a clear understanding of current market technologies and products. Key Responsibilities : Designing and developing effective, fit-for-purpose solutions for electrical infrastructure projects, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and grid connections (HVC/LVC). Collaborating with clients to uncover project needs and build value-based, technically viable solutions that meet commercial expectations. Documenting solutions through technical specifications, drawings, and delivery timelines. Work closely with internal teams across engineering, delivery, commercial and legal to ensure alignment on project goals. Deliver technical solution reports and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders, offering insights and actionable recommendations. Enhance the solution development process with tools, automation, and continuous improvement. Conduct technical analysis and feasibility studies, including site assessments and product evaluations. Collaborate with suppliers and technology partners to source the most appropriate products. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in the BESS sector. Strong understanding of BESS technologies, including BESS-related system design and integration. Experience working with product suppliers (solar and BESS systems). Ability to translate client needs into practical, cost-effective energy solutions. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
