ACE Switchboards Position : Full Time Salary : $75,000 - $100,000 a year Location : Cranbourne West VIC ACE Switchboards was founded with the vision of providing a Total Solution for Electrical Industry with regards to Electrical Switchboard Requirements, it is fast becoming a major player in design and manufacturer of Main Switchboards, Distribution Boards, Meter Panels, Supply Connection Pillars, EVDBs, PVDBs, and BESS Boards. ACE Switchboard is currently looking for experienced mechanical engineer to join their team on permanent full-time basis. Duties and Responsibilities: Design & develop panels and enclosures as per the client’s specifications, Australian standards (AS/NZS 3439.1:2002 and IEC 61439), state SIR rules & energy consumption metering/management regulations. Product concept development, design and prototype manufacturing. Preparation of technical drawings, fabrication drawings and Bill of Materials. Design modifications to adopt commercially available enclosure systems to use in various projects. Measurement through fabrication of the parts required for site alterations of the switchboards. Planning and supervising of switchboard production process to achieve quality, efficiency and safety. Collaborate with sheet metal suppliers and powder coating teams to complete the panels within the time frame and maintaining the quality standards. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to achieve objectives within tight timeframes. Overseeing sheet meatal folding process, assembling, welding and finishing processes. Perform environmental testing and making design modifications to suite the requirements. Document control of the completed projects including as-built drawings, factory acceptance test reports and product technical datasheets. Follow all Safety Policies and Procedures, as well as the safety requirements of customers where applicable. We require someone with the following: Engineering degree in mechanical is preferred. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a mechanical design engineer. Be a proficient user of design software such as Solid works, especially in sheet metals and AutoCAD. Experience in sheet metal manufacturing environment especially in sheet metal folding, welding and finishing processes. Practical knowledge of compliance to IEC 61439. Proven experience in applying SIR rules & energy consumption metering/management regulations to power enclosure designs.
