Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager position is a multidisciplinary role with responsibility for management accounting, revenue management, debt reporting and accrual accounting as well as leading the Assistant Accountant who is also responsible for AR. The Finance Manager will perform a key role in ERP systems configuration. Description The Finance Manager will be responsible for the following tasks which sit across cost allocation, cost accounting, capital expenditure, revenue accounting, debt reporting. See below a detailed breakdown of duties: Perform period end/month end close tasks Revenue accounting including unearned income and accruals schedules for concessions, retail and projects Labour and employee entitlements accounting Accounting for doubtful/bad debts CAPEX management & project accounting Revenue management tasks Supervision and review of billings work performed by Assistant Accountant, Projects and Operations Supervision of the end-to-end accounts receivable processes including credit management Business partner with Operations and Management teams to ensure that all customer obligations requiring finance oversight are satisfied within appropriate time frames Management cost accounting, including managing cost centres and management fees Preparation and lodgement of Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) returns Ensure key statutory and any other obligations are met, within prescribed time frames Provide subject matter expert guidance during the Finance Transformation Program on key financial process areas, including retail management, project accounting and automation of revenue management activities Process improvement initiatives Profile The Finance Manager should have: Experience in a similar role CPA/CA Qualification Experience in a fast-paced environment going through a system transition/period of transformation Strong communication and business partnering skills Strong technical skills in accounting and finance Experience in revenue management, cost tracking, CAPEX Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
