The Real Property Division (RPD), within the Ministry of Citizens’ Services is responsible for the Province’s real estate portfolio, office space inventory, furniture procurement, project and construction management, and real estate services for special-purpose facilities (such as courthouses, laboratories and correctional facilities). The Client Services branch within RPD assists clients through cross-functional sector teams with staff specializing in account management, communications and engagement, business analysis and administrative support. The communications team supports RPD in building strong relationships with their clients by providing timely, consistent, and relevant communications, and facilitating client engagement strategies. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Client Communications Manager leads the development and implementation of the division’s client communications strategies. The Client Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in communicating RPD’s strategic business priorities to its partners. This role provides expertise and support to Executive and ensures a consistent cascade of messaging is effectively communicated. The Client Communications Manager functions at a senior level and provides management expertise, advice and direction to employees across the Division on maintaining and enhancing communications and service to our clients. The position is responsible for the development of strategic communications planning in coordination with the division and clients to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively. Job Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below: Post-secondary courses in a communications related field (e.g. journalism, public relations, writing, English, marketing) or other closely related field. Minimum of three years of progressively more responsible communications experience including: working in a large corporate communications environment utilizing excellent verbal/written communication skills in a fast paced environment, and writing and editing using communication fundamentals (including logic, Canadian press style, tone, grammar, spelling, and proofreading) for a wide range of document styles and formats (e.g., articles, newsletters, presentations, web documents, memos, etc.). The experience should include communications as a core function of the job and not just a component of a job with multiple responsibilities. Experience in developing and leading a team, including performance planning and coaching. Preference may be given to applicants with communications experience in the real estate sector. Preference may be given to applicants who have experience with change management methodologies. Preference may be given to applicants who have worked previously within the corporate sustainability field.
