The Role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Officer to manage our financial operations, including NDIS invoicing, claims processing, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. As the Finance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our financial processes run smoothly and in compliance with industry standards. Working closely with the Operations Manager and administrative team, you will be responsible for financial administration, supporting the company's growth, and helping us achieve financial sustainability. Key Responsibilities: Manage and process NDIS-related invoices and claims through Splose and NDIA/PACE. Ensure timely and accurate financial record-keeping, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and reconciliation. Monitor and maintain accurate client billing records and track payments to ensure minimal delays or discrepancies. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal management and stakeholders. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in collaboration with the Operations Manager. Manage bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, payment tracking, and reconciliation. Ensure compliance with NDIA, ATO, and other relevant financial regulations, including workers' compensation and insurance requirements. Provide backup administrative support when needed, assisting with tasks related to the finance and administrative teams. Support the company ’ s overall financial health by implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Skills and Experience Required: Relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or related field (bachelor ’ s degree or higher preferred). Previous experience in a finance role, preferably within the NDIS, healthcare, or allied health sectors. Strong understanding of NDIS invoicing, claims management, and financial compliance. Proficiency in financial software and systems; experience with Splose and NDIA/PACE is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing and reporting. Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of Australian taxation, superannuation, and payroll legislation. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the finance and administrative teams.
