Southern plumbing is looking for a Storeperson for its Albury Store. To you join our team: You must have Diploma level of qualification in Management or above. You must have minimum 1 year experience as a Storeperson in the same field. Job Duties: Receive goods and inspect them for damage/discrepancies. Cross-reference goods against invoice/shipping documents for accuracy, including correct price, correct product and correct quantity Scan and/or enter details of incoming goods into the company’s computer system Ensure all stock is labelled and placed in the correct location in warehouses. Pick and pack goods for dispatch, including completion of relevant documentation and following relevant legislation, guidelines and standards. Prepare and load goods into the customer’s or company’s delivery vehicles Ensure goods are packed securely to prevent damage occurring Demonstrate safe manual handling techniques when loading and unloading vehicles Delivery and pick-up of goods to and from customers, work and building sites, other Southern Plumbing stores, suppliers etc. in a timely manner Ensure fleet vehicles are checked on a daily basis as per company vehicle policy Operate machinery such as forklifts, trucks, pallet jacks, trolleys and tail-gate lifters in a safe manner as per the company vehicle policy Provide excellent service when delivery goods to customers Abide by proper manual handling techniques to minimise personal injury Assist with inventory management and returns to and from warehouses and suppliers Cycle counting and placing or relocating stock Assist with regular stocktakes Accurately enter data into the computer-based inventory management system. Other general warehouse duties, including counter service, processing requests and preparing consignment notes Assist in maintenance of warehouse security to prevent shrinkage Ensure a clean, tidy and organised working environment to aid operational efficiency Strict adherence to Workplace Health and Safety laws and guidelines Strict adherence to company policies and procedures relating to all aspects of warehousing and delivery of goods
