What I'll be doing: As a Counsellor, I will be supporting the Sexuality and Relationships service, which includes providing counselling, education, and assisting in event facilitation. I will work in a person-centred way, respecting the sensitivities surrounding these topics and fostering an environment where individuals feel safe, heard, and supported. As part of this role, I will: Support the Sexuality and Relationships service through direct counselling and educational sessions. Adopt a person-centred approach while understanding and respecting the sensitivities surrounding sexuality and relationships. Maintain a high level of confidentiality, always respecting the individual differences and needs of the customers. Create and sustain a safe, secure, and trusting environment for all stakeholders involved. You Can Make a Difference I'm passionate about providing meaningful support, have a growth mindset, and am committed to delivering person-centred care. My years of expertise in the disability or health sector will empower individuals, foster connections, and create lasting, positive change in their lives. I will bring: Tertiary qualifications, with a minimum Diploma in Counselling. Membership with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or as an accredited PACFA Registrant with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia. Demonstrated experience and clinical skills in counselling, including the application of therapeutic modalities relevant to working with individuals and groups. A solid understanding of legislative, ethical, and practice requirements, including confidentiality, anti-discrimination, and mandatory reporting. Knowledge and understanding of NDIS policies and procedures.
