The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer or Principal Civil Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you’ll lead the design, coordination, and delivery of land development and stormwater infrastructure projects — from concept planning through to detailed design and construction support. Your technical input will directly influence community outcomes, planning approvals, and the long-term resilience of essential infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver design packages for land development, stormwater systems, bulk earthworks, drainage, utilities, and associated civil infrastructure. Develop high-quality design documentation using 12d Model , Civil 3D , and AutoCAD . Provide technical guidance, coordinate with internal disciplines, and mentor junior engineers. Liaise with councils, statutory authorities, and clients to progress approvals and resolve design challenges. Ensure designs meet local authority requirements, engineering standards, and regulatory frameworks. Accreditation in Water Design MRWA Prepare and review technical reports, design calculations, specifications, and tender documentation. Support project delivery through site inspections, RFIs, and design revisions during construction. About You Australian PR, Citizenship or valid Bridging Visa (essential). Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (accredited). Minimum 4 years of experience in civil design, with a strong focus on land development and stormwater infrastructure. Proficient in 12d , Civil 3D , AutoCAD , and relevant hydrology/hydraulics software. Deep understanding of local council requirements, planning regulations, and engineering standards. Proven ability to prepare and review detailed design documentation for subdivision and drainage works. Excellent communication skills and experience leading client and stakeholder coordination.
