Our Young Adults team are currently looking for a National Young Adults Oversight to join the team. This role can be full time or part time and the successful candidate will need to be located in Sydney. This role will be responsible for p roviding strategic leadership and collaborative support to strengthen Young Adult ministries across all Hillsong Church campuses in Australia. This role partners closely with local campus teams to develop and implement discipleship pathways, leadership development pipelines, and engagement strategies that empower young adults to grow in faith, contribute meaningfully to church life, and impact their communities. Other aspects of this role include: Leadership & Strategy Outwork the vision and mission of Hillsong Church by shaping a unified, healthy Young Adults culture and implementing strategies that engage and grow this community across Australia. Coach & mentor Young Adult Oversights across all locations in partnership with campus pastors. Ensure consistent development and growth of Young Adult communities across all campuses. Establish strong collaboration with Hillsong College, HLA’s and local campus hubs. Discipleship & Development Align with the Discipleship Support Team and its strategy to promote a strong discipleship culture among young adults. Equip Young Adult leaders with the relevant discipleship resources and training materials. Develop and provide discipleship resources that support local young adult communities. Support CP’s and their Young Adults Oversight to grow healthy connect groups and gatherings. Identify and implement improvements to processes, systems (eg. PCO) and structures. Engagement & Pathways Partner with CPs to establish clear volunteer pathways for Young Adults. Champion Young Adults involvement in the Faith Mission Partners Community. Encourage and support local teams to build meaningful partnerships with nearby universities, TAFEs, and young adult spaces. Create clear pathways for engagement in Sustainable Social Impact and CityCare initiatives. Events Provide vision, direction & oversight for major Young Adults events, incl. conferences, camps, etc. Mobilise the Young Adult community to actively contribute to broader church events. Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and executive high-impact national events. Culture & Care Ensure all Young Adult environments align with Safe Church practices and guidelines. Support leaders in pastoral care challenges and refer to professional services where appropriate. Cultivate a healthy leadership culture through regular feedback, reflection, and accountability. Promote holistic wellbeing—mental, emotional, spiritual—within the Young Adult community. Ideally, the successful candidate will bring : Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Ministry, or a related field preferred 5 years experience in pastoral ministry, ideally with young adults or similar age groups Proven experience in leading teams and developing leaders Demonstrated success in discipleship development, including creating and implementing spiritual growth pathways Strong theological foundation and understanding of biblical discipleship Deep understanding of young adult life stages, culture, and generational trends Familiarity with church systems and platforms such as Planning Center Online (PCO) Ability to navigate pastoral care complexities with discretion and empathy If this sounds like you, we would love for you to apply today!
