We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated Podiatrist to support clients under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) in East Arnhem Land. This is a new and exciting role that is underpinned by the CHSP wellness approach, working with clients to maximise functional independence and to participate and remain living in the community. Fortnightly travel in small planes to the communities across East Arnhem Land will be required. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination, along with an understanding of the challenges faced by Yolŋu people in remote areas. MHAC also focuses on education and primary preventive care programs to address risk factors to Aboriginal health in the region. Work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a culturally responsive role. What’s the role? Provide clinical and culturally responsive podiatry services for CHSP eligible clients including assessment, treatment, planning, and evaluation in Miwatj communities. Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure clinical and social support are provided to clients. Manage caseload and waitlist and contribute to effective clinical governance arrangements, and service improvement processes that ensure high levels of quality and safety and evidence-based practice. Contribute to reporting for Miwatj Health and funding bodies, taking responsibility for accurate content and reporting deadlines. Manage identification, maintenance and restocking of discipline-specific equipment and supplies. Supervise and provide expert advice towards the professional development and capacity building of Miwatj staff, including Indigenous Allied Health Assistants and external stakeholders Is this the right role for you? A tertiary qualification in Podiatry Current AHPRA registration Three years of clinical experience is essential.
