Tintern Grammar is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic teacher of Clarinet for a Long Service Leave Replacement position during Term 4 2025. About the Role The role currently entails approximately 8 hours per week teaching Clarinet on an individual basis to students in Years 5 to 11, small groups in Years 4 and 5 and leading a Clarinet Ensemble. Responsibilities will include preparing students for performances and examinations and preparing end-of-semester reports for parents, which the teacher on leave will have pre-empted to some extent. There will be some occasional commitments outside of regular school hours for concerts and other music related events. The successful applicant is expected to be organised, to make a positive contribution to the vibrant musical life of the school and work co-operatively as a member of our dynamic music teaching team. They must hold a current Working with Children Check or VIT Registration. Availability on Thursdays and Fridays would be our preference. Applicants with experience conducting ensembles would be looked upon favourably, as there may be additional work available leading a Wind Symphonic Band (Fridays) and a Concert Band (on Wednesdays).
