The Role We’re seeking a Senior Project Officer to join a Government Department to lead complex projects focused on misconduct investigations and performance management. You’ll support employee relations and ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and best practices while helping shape an engaged and accountable workforce. Responsibilities: Manage a complex caseload of misconduct matters, ensuring thorough investigation, analysis, and reporting. Provide expert, evidence-based advice to executives on employee relations and conduct issues. Represent the NSW Sheriff’s Office at industrial tribunals. Develop systems and frameworks to support reporting, transparency, and continuous improvement. Lead initiatives that support organisational workforce capability and workplace reform. Maintain clear records and support reporting to management and statutory bodies. Foster effective communication with stakeholders and assist in union negotiations About You: You’re a skilled investigator and strategic thinker with experience in managing sensitive employee relations matters. You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excel at managing high-volume caseloads, and communicate with confidence at all levels. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are committed to fair, transparent, and legally sound outcomes. Hold or willingness to complete a Certificate IV in Government Investigation.
