Providing Community Access to our client, you will support and assist people with disabilities by organising activities designed to help develop practical life skills and to identify their goals for daily living, community participation, learning and building relationships – and of course having fun! Some of our activities include cooking, arts and crafts, connecting with nature and sports. No two days will be the same - you may hear that phrase a lot but here at Endeavour Foundation, you will see it in action! Other key duties will include: Helping people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing important daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting. Assisting with aspects of personal care where required to meet the individual needs of the people we support. Supporting with meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and facilitating community connection by socialising and going on outings. Providing support during daily activities such as going for a walk, going to the movies or accompanying to an appointment. Our Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate for this role is a compassionate, experienced support worker, who can build rapport with individuals over time. You should have a strong background in supporting clients with challenging behaviours, while maintaining a calm and patient presence. Experience with individuals who value their privacy and personal space is essential. The ability to follow a structured routine and adapt to the client's preferences, including their love for specific activities, is key. You’ll be a reliable, professional individual who can maintain consistency in support while respecting the client’s boundaries and needs. Flexibility to pick up additional shifts as required is important. What You Can Bring to the Team: Passion for working in disability services with a commitment to learning and growth. Strong people skills: patient, empathetic, resilient, and able to connect with clients. Ability to meet physical requirements, including manual handling tasks. High regard for privacy and confidentiality. Proficiency with basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is a plus, but not essential. Clearances including Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR, and a valid driver’s license with comprehensive insurance for client transport.
