Purpose of the Role: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility and grounds maintenance to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines trade expertise with team coordination and strategic asset management. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Planning Lead and supervise the maintenance team, contractors, and external trades. Develop and manage the site’s maintenance schedules and preventative programs. Ensure compliance with WHS regulations, aged care standards, and organisational policies. Monitor maintenance budgets and contribute to strategic planning for capital works and asset upgrades. Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Oversee the upkeep of buildings, plant, and equipment to ensure optimal function and safety. Coordinate and conduct general repairs, preventative and corrective maintenance. Ensure timely and effective response to maintenance requests and safety concerns. Maintain the health and appearance of lawns, gardens, and outdoor areas. Tool, Asset, and Compliance Management Maintain an accurate asset register and ensure all maintenance documentation is up to date. Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of tools, machinery, and hazardous substances. Lead preparation for accreditation and audits relating to facilities and infrastructure. Team Collaboration & Communication Foster a culture of safety, respect, and teamwork within the maintenance team. Liaise with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Promote the role and function of TCC within the local community, residents, and families. Qualifications and Experience: Trade qualification or extensive experience in a similar facilities management role Proven leadership and team coordination experience Sound understanding of building compliance, WHS, and asset management Physical ability to perform manual tasks and safely operate tools and machinery Current driver’s licence Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer literacy (email, asset systems, maintenance logs) Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards (desirable) How to Apply: Please click on the apply now button or send your resume and/or cover letter to jobs@apollocare.com.au.
