An opportunity is available for an Experienced Machinery Operator to take on a key role in a broadacre farming business near Goondiwindi, Queensland. This is a full-time position spanning over 10,000 acres, producing cereals, and fodder crops for fattening sale stock. Key Responsibilities • Operate a range of modern equipment including John Deere tractors, a precision planter, header, and spray rig. • Carry out regular sprayer work, including accurate chemical mixing and record-keeping. • Cart grain to on-farm silos and sheds driving a Western Star prime mover and trailers (no off-farm deliveries). • Assist with mustering using buggies and two-wheelers (no horses or dogs used). • Work independently on a separate property with a high level of honesty and responsibility. • Maintain cleanliness and care in all equipment use and general tasks. • Communicate effectively with the owner Requirements • Experience using GPS-guided machinery • Current driver’s licence is essential. A truck licence is highly regarded • Strong maths skills for sprayer operations • A positive attitude and ability to work independently • Accurate record-keeping and attention to detail • Willingness to work weekends during peak periods such as planting and harvesting Conditions • Average 40-hour week, with additional hours as required during busy seasons • Pay rate based on experience and skillset • On-the-job training provided if required Accommodation • Three-bedroom house available • Includes reverse cycle and evaporative air conditioning, wood heater, dishwasher, and mobile phone booster. • House is unfurnished • No pets inside the house.
