Your work supports resident dignity and comfort, helping to create a true sense of home. You’ll build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff and contribute to our values of respect, compassion, and excellence. What you will do: Perform thorough daily cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces in line with infection control standards Ensure all cleaning schedules and checklists are completed and documented Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies, including handwashing stations Manage laundry processes including collection, washing, drying, ironing, folding and return of resident clothing and facility linen Check and label residents’ personal items to prevent loss or mix-ups Operate laundry equipment safely and in accordance with procedures while maintaining a clean and orderly laundry area Communicate any concerns about resident wellbeing or environmental risks to care staff What you will bring: Currently hold an NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain) – MANDATORY https://www.workerscreening.qld.gov.au/ Valid Working rights in Australia - MANDATORY Hospitality or Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Compassion and Empathy An understanding of resident rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes (highly regarded but not essential) Who we are: PresCare Alexandra Gardens is proudly part of the Apollo Care Alliance, an innovative national organisation with a unique vision to support not-for-profit aged care communities.
